I am very happy that my image for Michael Jackson was featured as Daily Deviation. The comments are so nice and the most important thing is that people understand the concept I wanted to show. It is touching to see how many fans share the same feelings for him, the "king of pop".

I was so sad about his death that I couldn't do anything more brilliant, glamour as he used to be. Fortunately, the simplest image is strong and really shows our pain.

Amazing Events Magazine issue 04 has an interview with Cris de Lara.
The interview is very nice and I loved it. I hope that the readers like it and it is an "amazing" opportunity for the artist when we are featured in a publication like Amazing Events, because people can know a little more about our job, the process we use while producing the images.
There are always different questions that surprise us and require more attention when answering them to avoid misunderstanding.

I am proud of share with you that my image ROCKSTAR received the FANTASYANA AWARD.

This award is given to the best images uploaded in the galleries and forums during the month and some of the criteria used for judging them are:
Art requirements, technique, invention, colour's choice and scheme and some other issues.

It is very nice receiving an award like this one because the artist's level in Fantasyana is very high.

Digital Painting and Illustrations Courses at Niagara College !!!

I will be teaching 2 courses at Niagara College (Niagara on the Lake Campus), Ontario-Canada, during the Summer 2009.
Artepixel Illustration and Digital Painting has developed the content and Niagara College believes that they will be a success for the audience. I hope to see some of you there.

My new web site has finally arrived!!!
I always wished my web site like something very informal, personal, where I could show not only my Pinups but also some errors inside the images, some ideas about the conception, share a little of knowledge and also to learn with all of you.
Since I used to teach, did not matter if my audience was children, teenagers or adults I alwyas learned everything new every single day from them. Not only about art, also about live experience, interaction, visual responses, motivation. Lot of important thoughts that you can experiment when you are in real contact with your audience.
The artist is not a person without failures, the artist is not supreme, it is very difficult and dangerous judge the art itself.
This is what I want to show to you, my art, my job, my pinups, my passion in a very informal way, sometimes like an artist, always as an apprentice.
